Really good place, it teaches you life skills. You are able to go on several events such as Flying, Shooting, Gliding, Camping etc. It is an amazing opportunity and something to put on your résumé/CV. The cadet experience is open to anyone between 13 (in year 8) and 17.

About Us

We are a youth organisation with roots in the Royal Air Force. We are open to anyone aged between 12 (and in Year 8) and 18 for Cadets, Civilian Instructors, Officers, and Civilian Committee is aged 21 and up. We are one of the most active and successful Squadrons in the London area. Activities include flying, gliding, camps in the UK and overseas, shooting, expeditions, sport, ceremonial duties, participation in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, and preparation for nationally recognised academic qualifications, including BTECHs.

We meet up twice a week for our Parade Nights twice, during which we prepare the cadets for camps, competitions and teach cadets everything from Aerodynamics to 1st Aid and Archery.
Our Parade Nights run every Tuesdays and Thursdays from 19:00 to 21:20.

All cadets pay subscriptions for their membership to the Air Training Corps. Currently, the first month for any new recruits is free. After this, the cost will be £10 per month for subscriptions. Payments are currently collected via Direct Debit and Standing Order, with some parents continuing to pay via cash/cheque.  The units preferred method of payment is direct debit as this significantly reduces our administrative burden.
Parents who are suffering any financial hardship should contact the squadron to discuss subscription payments, the squadron always manages to make arrangements for any enthusiastic cadet.

As part of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets, we take part in the remembrance Sunday commemorations, therefore attendance to this event is Compulsory. This will be held on Sunday 8th of November 2020 - Sunday 14th of November 2021.
Attendance is also Compulsory for our Squadron Annual inspection. This is usually held in February.

You can stay up to date with 33F by following us on Social Media

The RAFAC now uses the NEW progressive training syllabus. We encourage any cadets to get up to date with this new Syllabus.
